  • Getting a little nutty over here trying to use tea in all my projects this month. This is a paper sculpture I made using the tea-dyed papers I made throughout the month. There are some of those tea-dyed papers in the background. This beauty can be hung by twine or sit on a shelf. It makes me smile. #nationalhotteamonth #tea #teadye #tealife #tealovers #teaoftheday #teagram #tealover #instatea #lovetea #teatime #ilovetea
  • Comparing the three different inks I made from tea. It's soooo interesting to experiment with making, and using these inks. This month I have had a lot of tea to drink, dye paper and fabric in, make into ink and beyond. Finishing out National Hot Tea Month with more tea/art explorations. ⁣

  • Happy National Handwriting Day! Here you see a sample of experimentation with the inks I made with tea this month. I have some experimentation yet to do to write with these inks, but I really enjoyed doing it. ⁣

  • So this is some of the fabric dyed with black tea. When the light hits it magic happens. It seems to glow. So we had fun throwing the cloth up in the air and capturing the light and movement. #nationalhotteamonth #tea # #tealovers #tealife #tealove #blacktea #teagram #teaoftheday #teatime #instatea
  • Tea dyeing + shibori techniques = some success + room for further experimentation. The fabric was too tightly prepared for the dye to soak more than the top few layers. Nevertheless, the fabric that came from this batch will be fun to use in future projects. I will be trying again. #nationalhotteamonth #tea #tealovers #tealife #ilovetea #teagram #tealover #blacktea #teastagram #tealove #teaoftheday #teatime #naturaldyes #fabricdyeing
  • The magic of using my bamboo pen to draw with tea ink on tea dyed paper. Yet I must be honest and tell you that the black tea ink dries almost invisible on the tea dyed paper. I mean, it's already saturated. I did find better luck using it on a lighter color paper which was dyed by placing tea bags on top the paper. That paper had empty spots for drawing and could hold onto the color. Either way, I'm having fun. #ink #inkdrawing #pendrawing #penandink #artistsoninstagram #penaddict #teaink #madewithtea #handmade #pigment #naturemade #pen
