  • Realized I never posted this! Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. #christmastree #decorating #merrychristmas #pinkandwhite
  • Stacks of paper everywhere! This is a stack of mixed paper - paper to print on and paper masks to print with. Finished prints are in a pile to make into journals. Stacks of preselected papers grouped together for binding. And that’s the tip of the iceberg. I won’t even address the stacks of fabric laying about here… I see a lot of finishing things in my future. #paper #papercrafts #paperartist #paperlover #monoprinting #gelliprint #stacks #artiststacks #artistsoninstagram #studio #studiochaos #creativeprocess
  • On the top of my work basket. This is a wonderful commission for multiple patches. Stitching labyrinths also serve as meditation. #labyrinth #embroidery#meditativestitching #meditativestitching #stitchbystitch #patches #embellishment #pink
  • Gelli printing has taken over my desk space lately. So has random junk mail. So I combined the two. Those catalogs that come unbidden are now serving as the medium for my hand ripped “stencils”. Monoprinting celebrates the unique print. Paper stencils have a fairly short life span. So I get the prints I get and then move on. It yields beautiful stacks of prints, reduce refuse to get rid of and the remains of those stencils covered in multi colored splendor. I plan to incorporate them into more artwork. Watch and see. #monoprinting #printing #selfmade #stencils #tornpaper #recycle #reuse #reimagine #useitup #makesomethingoutofnothing #towardszerowaste #makersgonnamake #makermovement
  • Making ribbon rosettes in preparation for the Jane Austen’s birthday extravaganza on December 16th. I’m hosting this event/class on the @making_co app. Seeing it develop as each layer is added is so gratifying. We will be playing some Austen related games and I will be teaching how to make the ribbon rosettes. #JaneAusten #janeausten #ribbon #ribbons #rosettes #regency #regencystyle #makersgonnamake #makermovement
  • It’s been more than a week now. Didn’t think I would post about this. But @sirfernly has crossed the rainbow bridge. I am shattered. I find myself tearing up in the produce section, wanting to have him sit by my side, and thinking about checking his water. Amongst this sadness my wonderful cousins @angelvegan and @hollarious2 sent us this memorial ornament and that touched me deeply. Sometimes it is something unexpected that starts us healing. A big thank you to Dr. Lawrence at Agape Animal Hospital for his expertise in rabbit care. Bink free, Fern.
