  • Sending out love to you all. I'm sure everyone can use a little more of it. ⁣ I love playing with beads. I love the feel of them in my hands. I love how they bounce. I love the way they sound when I return them to the dish or glass where they are kept. I love adding them to just about everything. And so it may not be a surprise that I spent a good hour playing with beads to take this picture. ⁣ These days it is hard to know what to do. I find it helpful to do the silly things that usually I am too busy for. Play with beads. Watch the birds and how they interact. Drink copious amounts of tea.   • Six years ago this month I took my first art journaling class with @kellykilmer. We made our own art journals and then started to fill them. I made some significant progress that day, but there was plenty left to do. It seems that I am not as good at finishing class projects as I wish I was, but each June I fill a spread or two and remember what a magical day it was for me. If you have a chance to take a class with Kelly do it. You won't regret it!   • Recycling old calendars to make new artjournals. Took them apart and laid down layers and layers. The only problem I have with this method is that sometimes I get too attached to the layers and hesitate to work on them. Do you ever have this issue? If so, what do you do to push through?   • #the100dayproject I've been sewing and using up those thread samples every day. So much of it is repetitive, so I haven't posted each day. Having finished a project that had a lot of sewing, today I decided to address the large pile of mending that has been waiting for me. Those thread samples are great for this.
