Back at it

my view at the florist

As I write this this morning in the quiet breaking of the day, there’s a kind of stillness that is also in motion. The insects of the night have grown quieter, the sounds of the cars as they pass through town are padded by the misty air. Only a few birds dare chirp. The sun is waiting. This will last, maybe, another hour or so.

In these quiet morning sounds I find comfort. I find reasons to celebrate.

Like the sun, I have been waiting. After six months offline, I am glad to have this website back up and running. In those interim six months I have:

Rented studio space in a florist shop.

I have been a vendor at both the Southbridge and the Charlton Farmer’s Markets.

Offered a Mobile Mending service from the Southbridge Farmer’s Market at Big Bunny.

Taught Functional and Fabulous Embroidery for Mending at the Jacob Edwards Library.

Learned to make floral items.

Written a grant

Made art

and so much more.

This is just the beginning. Hope you will join me on this next leg of the journey.
